Onboarding

When you first sign in, Vexrail asks you to choose a role and set up your first project. This activates your account for that role.

Step 1: Choose Your Role​

You will see two options:

  • I want to advertise -- Choose this if you want to promote products inside AI conversations.
  • I want to publish -- Choose this if you run an AI application and want to monetize it.

You can activate the other role later from your account settings. A single account can operate as both an advertiser and a publisher.

Step 2: Create Your First Project​

After selecting a role, you create your first project:

  1. Project name -- A descriptive name for your project.
  2. Project URL -- The website URL associated with this project. This domain will need to be verified.

Step 3: Verify Your Domain​

Domain verification proves you own the domain associated with your project. This step is optional during onboarding -- you can skip it and come back later -- but it is required before you can:

  • Advertisers: Activate campaigns.
  • Publishers: Generate API keys.

To verify your domain:

  1. Vexrail generates a unique DNS TXT record value for your domain.
  2. Add this TXT record to your domain's DNS configuration.
  3. Return to Vexrail and click Verify to check the record.

DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, though it usually completes within minutes.

Switching Roles​

After onboarding, you can switch between your advertiser and publisher views using the role toggle in the dashboard header. If you have not yet activated the other role, you will be prompted to complete the onboarding flow for it.
