Campaign Overview
Campaigns control how and when your products are promoted across the publisher network. Each campaign defines a budget, a CPC bid, a schedule, and a set of assigned products.
Key Concepts
CPC (Cost Per Click)
Vexrail operates on a cost-per-click model. You set a base CPC when creating a campaign, which is the maximum amount you are willing to pay for each click on your promoted product. You are only charged when a user clicks.
Budget
Each campaign has a budget that caps your spending. There are two budget types:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Daily | The maximum amount the campaign can spend per day. Spending resets each day. |
| Total | The maximum total amount the campaign can spend over its lifetime. Once reached, the campaign stops serving. |
Campaign Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Active | The campaign is live and serving product promotions. |
| Paused (User) | You manually paused the campaign. It can be reactivated at any time. |
| Paused (System) | The system paused the campaign. This happens when budget is exhausted, wallet funds are insufficient, or the campaign end date has passed. |
| Archived | The campaign is no longer active and cannot be reactivated. |
Schedule
Campaigns can have optional start and end dates:
- Start date -- The earliest date the campaign can begin serving. If not set, the campaign starts as soon as it is activated.
- End date -- The date the campaign stops serving. If not set, the campaign runs indefinitely until manually paused or until the budget is exhausted.
Campaign Lifecycle
Create → Assign Products → Activate → Serving → Pause/End
- Create the campaign with your desired settings.
- Assign products that you want promoted.
- Activate the campaign (requires verified domain and sufficient wallet balance).
- The campaign is now serving -- your products will appear in relevant AI conversations.
- Pause the campaign manually, or it will pause automatically when the budget runs out or the end date passes.
